Abstract:		 A tree-ring dating programme was commissioned on timbers in the tower keep, the forebuilding, the porch, and the portcullis at Pendennis Castle, Cornwall, by English Heritage in AD 2001 and AD 2003. The tree-ring results indicate that timbers felled in AD 1540 and AD 1541 are present in the building.
