Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was carried out along the line of a rising main replacement, running for 2.8km from the West Road pumping station on the western outskirts of Clacton-on-Sea to the sewage treatment works to the west of Jaywick. The archaeological work mainly consisted of topsoil stripping over a 15m wide easement before the pipe trench was cut. The topsoil stripping revealed no significant arcaheological features or finds. |
