Abstract: |
Level 2 building record of a large early 20th century brick structure, reputedly a hotel up until c.1960. A small mid 19th century house with grand pretentions that was enlarged in the late 19th century and then subsumed by the present building. Heavy, institutional feel to exterior, with limited architectural appeal. English Heritage agrree (not Listed, brought in by locals). To be demolished for new driveway. 19th century stable block /coach house to east is interesting. |
