Abstract:		 Two trial trenches were excavated at 24 Bridge Street, Chatteris. The site lies to the south of a possible site of a medieval landing place on Slade Lode, and near to previous archaeological finds of Iron Age, medieval and post medieval date. The trenches revealed a ditch of possible late medieval date and evidence relating to occupation from the 16th/17th century and later.
