Abstract: |
Watching brief during landscaping works revealed undated, medieval and post-medieval features. Medieval deposits appear to be associated with iron smithing. Early post-medieval ditch and bank may be a sea bank or related to the Civil War defences of the town. Later post-medieval deposits were associated with quayside revetments and railways |
