Abstract: |
In April 2011 a watching brief was undertaken at The 'Bell and Shears' public house, High Street, Redbourn, Hertfordshire, in advance of the construction of four new houses to the rear of the pub. Intensive monitoring of ground reduction and excavation of footings revealed a post medieval pit and a treebole. No further archaeological features or artefacts were observed or recovered |
