Abstract:		 In July 2009 a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken on the site of a new manége at Laurel Farm, Wheeler End, Buckinghamshire. Archaeological remains were not observed during the watching brief, but an area of darker soil was present in the south half of the area, which is tentatively interpreted as a modern chalk extraction pit. It is unlikely that the works have had a significant impact on buried archaeological remains.
