Abstract:		 In May 2009 a watching brief was carried out by Archaeological Services and Consultancy Ltd (ASC) during the groundworks for an extension to a garage at Ver Lodge, 9 Pondwicks Close, St Albans. No deposits or finds of archaeological significance were revealed. However, as the ground works were limited in scope this does not preclude the presence of archaeological remains elsewhere on the site.
