The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 These investigations consisted of geophysical survey, metal-detecting and the excavation of test pits. The aim of the project was to define the boundaries of the battle site and possibly locate sites of conflict within that boundary. The work was achieved with the help of volunteers from the local community and included participation by local primary and secondary schools. The metal-detecting survey was also carried out across two of the sites by members of the Scottish Artefact Recovery Group (SARG) and Detecting Scotland working alongside GUARD Archaeology staff.
