Abstract: |
A small archaeological excavation was undertaken at Shefford Lower School prior to the proposed construction of an extension of the current main school building. The only feature exposed was a late Roman ditch, which produced a small assemblage of pottery and roof tile. The rest of the site was disturbed by modern drains and the building of the present school buildings. |
