Abstract: |
Oxford Archaeology (OA, -formerly trading as The Oxford Archaeological Unit) carried out a field evaluation within the grounds of the Coopers Road Estate in Southwark, on behalf of Price and Myers Consulting Engineers. Peat deposits were identified in the northern part of the site, possibly representing the edge of a prehistoric channel or mere. To the south a post-medieval cultivated soil was recorded. Both peats and soil were sealed by modern made ground. |
