Abstract: |
Watching briefs were kept on 22 June 2013 during the excavation of two pole trenches (at NR 92856 33181 and NR 91674 33505) and a stay trench (at NR 91442 33467) during the refurbishment of overhead power lines around the edges of Machrie Moor. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered in any of the trenches. In addition, a route was negotiated through a gap in an early turf and stone bank (at NR 90017 34092) to allow machinery access to other poles. |
