The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Archaeological evaluation at St Thomas a Becket Church, Hampsthwaite, was undertaken in advance of a proposal for a new building extension. The evaluation revealed a probable retaining wall possibly of a medieval date truncated by an existing church boundary wall. The evaluation also confirmed the presence of a grave and two probable postholes of unknown date. Artefacts recovered included a medieval coin and pottery sherds and a possible prehistoric or post Roman pottery sherd.
