Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was carried out by Archaeological Services on land off Levenside, Stokesley, in 2010. The land is 2/3rds a greenfield site and lay outside the medieval and later town. An area of ridge and furrow earthworks survive on part of the site. The site included Union Mill, a grade II listed mill, originally steam driven. Land directly south of the mill had warehouses built on it in the late 20th century and is unlikely to contain any archaeological remains. |
