Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during ground works to replace existing street lighting along Chapel Street, High Street and Roman Road. No significant archaeological features were located and the excavations disturbed mostly previous road make-up, although residual post-medieval pottery, as well as animal bone, indicates activity from this period in the area, especially around trench 6.
