The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Watching brief carried out during re-development of Ormiston Venture Academy. This included monitoring topsoil stripping, demolition and construction works. Archaeological potential was identified through a desk-based assessment. Aerial photographs had identified field boundary ditches of probable Iron Age and medieval date nearby, one of these crossed the development site. This ditch however, was not identified during the watching brief. Two other small isolated pits were excavated and are thought to be prehistoric in date. With the exception of one flint flake of Late Noelithic or Bronze Age date finds were few and modern.
