Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during the demolition and removal of a modern garage building prior to the construction of new houses on the site of the former Red Lodge Garage, Lodge Road, Feltwell. The watching brief was required because part of a human skull had been recovered from an adjacent plot and it was considered possible that the skull may have been from a previously unknown burial ground. No archaeological features were present in the area and no further human remains were recovered. It is feasible that the skull fragment from the next door plot had been part of a medical collection and not from a burial. |
