Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was conducted for Folkes Plant and Aggregates Ltd ahead of a geological borehole survey at Welcome Pit Quarry, Burgh Castle, Norfolk. Eight small, rectangular test pits were excavated in advance of the drilling. The surface of the natural geology was encountered in each of the test pits. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered during the work
