The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An archaeological excavation was conducted by North Pennines Archaeology Ltd on a targeted area of land at Overby Quarry, Aspatria , Cumbria in 2008. The work followed on from an archaeological evaluation of the site that had identified five Bronze Age cremation Burials. A further 30 cremations were identified, eight of which were within well-preserved cremation vessels that were identified as Bronze Age Collared Urns and a Food Vessel. The burials were arranged in a central group, with an outlying group arranged in a surrounding circle. The cremation cemetery itself appaered to fall within a north-western tradition of flat cemeteries.
