Abstract: |
A watching brief was kept on 24 April 2014 during the excavation of an area measuring 20m by 11-17.5m to accommodate a temporary generator near Martyr's Bay near the E coast of Iona. On 7 May 2014 three pole trenches were dug at NM 28485 23916, NM 28441 23946 and 28389 23974 for a new overhead line linking the generator to an existing power line. Nothing of archaeological significance was found in any of the trenches. |
