Abstract: |
John Moore Heritage Services conducted an archaeological evaluation of the proposed development site on 9th and 10th September 2008. Six trenches, totalling approximately 180 metres in length, were excavated to reveal the underlying natural geology. Archaeological deposits were very limited. Three pits and a stake-hole were located, all undated although one pit is Roman or later in date. A single sherd of Iron Age pottery was also recovered. |
