Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during groundworks associated with construction of an extension to the existing house. A small area of stones possibly from a foundation was uncovered in one of the new foundation trenches. No dating evidence was found associated with it although there was a lot of modern disturbance in the immediate area. As the site is in the immediate vicinity of the line of the Antonine Wall it could be associated although any connection can not be demonstrated. |
