Abstract:		 A trial trench evaluation and programme of recording on land at Manea Road, Wimblington, Cambridgeshire. Wimblington lies at the centre of a large island shared with March and Doddington amidst the fens of Cambridgeshire. The work comprised the excavation of a single trial trench and the recording of deposits in an area covered by an archaeological condition from a previous planning application. Both areas revealed a similar series of deposits of peat layers over natural gleyed clay.
