Abstract:		 In March 2013 a watching brief was undertaken on a site some 50m from Church Lane, Sarratt, Hertfordshire, during topsoil stripping for the construction of two dwellings that will occupy the central portion of the plot. Apart from a single 20th century pit, no pre-modern features or artefacts were observed on the site.
