Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during ground reduction for the construction of a dwelling to the north-east of 10 Forth Street, within the Georgian gardens along Hart Street The site is situated within the medieval burgh of Broughton, and in the area of the Huguenot silk weaving settlement of Picardy. The only features found related to the levelling of the site and construction of services relating to the New Town's construction during the early stages of the 19th century.
