Abstract: |
A trench located in the south-east corner of the former Tudor Tiltyard to the north of the palace was excavated in mid-March 2016 for the installation of irrigation pipes. The presence of a post-medieval brick wall was exposed upon opening this trench. The feature may be associated with William III and Mary II's Kitchen Garden or may be a later installation related to the glass greenhouses built in the mid 19th century located in the south-eastern corner of the former Henrician Tiltyard. |
