Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out during the groundworks for an underground cable route at Bishops Place, Albourne, Hassocks. Two stretches of cable route were monitored, one was located to the south of Bishops Place, and the other was located to the northwest of Bishops Place, close to Church Lane, Albourne. The archaeological monitoring identified no significant archaeological remains. A small assemblage on unstratified artefacts consisted of two flints, one late Neolithic in date, and two sherds of pottery (medieval - post medieval).
