Abstract: |
Ambarrow Hill was subject to field survey which revealed a number of banks and ditches relating to early 19th century enclosure. A former quarry pit was also recorded, probably pre-dating 1817. Despite its name the hill is too large to be a typical round barrow, nor was there any sign of a barrow on its summit. |
