Abstract: |
A ring gully of early Iron Age date, five pits and two postholes were excavated. Only four sherds of pottery were recovered, but a radiocarbon date on oak charcoal places the gully most probably in the 4th century cal BC. A second date some seven centuries earlier must derive from earlier use of the site which left no other trace. |
