Excavations in Sheffield revealed post-medieval remains including unique evidence for early steelmaking. Documentary, map and archaeological evidence have been used to reveal a picture of the development of the Naylor Vickers works, later becoming one of Sheffield's major steelworks. analysis of two crucibles has provided evidence for their composition and the Huntsman process. |
