Article describing the results of an excavation at 11 Leadenhall Street, City of London. Evidence was uncovered for Roman, medieval and post-medieval activity. Evidence for an early Roman road was encountered, as well as at least one masonry building fronting it, with the apparently ritual placement of a large beaker and lid beneath one of the floor levels. Much of the medieval activity took the form of refuse pits.
