Abstract: |
An archaeological trial trenching evaluation was carried out in advance of the construction of a new Community Hospital at Roodlands Hospital, Haddington. Consultation of early map editions suggested that the proposed development area was agricultural land prior to the construction of the hospital in the late 19th/early 20th century. Vestigial traces of rig-and-furrow cultivation were identified, but there were no features, deposits or artefacts of archaeological significance. |
