Abstract: |
A heritage statement was prepared to accompany applications for a barn into residential use. The barn was constructed in the middle of the 19th century and replaced earlier farm buildings. It was designed as a threshing barn with an integral cart shed and cow house. Specialised cereal processing appears to have taken place during the early and mid 20th century, when power was provided by a paraffin engine. The cow house was upgraded during this period. |
