Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 5.8 hectares of agricultural and grassland. The survey at Ratby has identified areas of ridge and furrow cultivation as the only probable archaeology on the site. There is no evidence for prehistoric or Roman remains mentioned in the desk-based assessment. Two possible archaeological anomalies have been identified; however these could equally be related to modern agricultural activity. The remaining anomalies are of modern origin relating to a land drain, made ground, ferrous objects and fencing. |
