Abstract: |
Allen Archaeology Limited was commissioned by Mr R Newton to undertake an Earthwork Survey as a condition of planning consent for the erection of two residential dwellings and associated access on land adjacent to Enderly off Middlesykes Lane, Grimoldby, Louth, Lincolnshire. A series of earthworks are located both on the site development site and within the immediate vicinity. These were recorded using a GPS, preserving them by record prior to any development. The earthworks consist of five intersecting ditches. They are likely to be evidence of the medieval settlement of Grimbaldi and relate to features found in fields directly to both the north and south. |
