Abstract:		 English Heritage funded research project to use marine geophysics, land based geophysics and historical data and cartography to map the archaeological heritage of the medieval town of Dunwich. The site lies largely underwater off the east coast of England in the county of Suffolk. The Project reports novel application of combined Sidescan Sonar, Multibeam, Magnetometer and DIDSON acoustic imaging to map, visualise and evaluate the marine archaeology. The project was a collaboration of GeoData Institute, Wessex Archaeology, National Oceanographic Centre led by Professor David Sear of Geography and Environment at the University of Southampton.
