Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during site investigation work prior to re-development of the Royal Victoria Hospital at Craigleith in Edinburgh. The work comprised archaeological monitoring during excavation of test-pits. A buried garden/ agricultural soil was recorded across parts of the site and part of a possible path or hard standing was visible to the south-east of the former site of Craigleith House. Part of a relict concrete base was recorded towards the eastern edge of the development. |
