The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in September 2016 at Castle Way, Taunton, Somerset. A single trench was excavated. The evaluation recorded a pit and a grave at a depth of 0.6m below the present ground level. This indicates that the site is within the bounds of a Saxon cemetery which pre-dated the castle and which is known from previous archaeological works in the area.
