Abstract: |
A historic environment assessment was required to inform a programme of tree planting across an area of 32ha at Dyke Farm, Neilston. desk-based assessment and walkover survey was designed to establish a sound baseline on the historic environment. Five historic environment sites were identified. Four of these sites are potentially within the planting area: two 18th century farming settlements, Dyk/Bank and Spierston (both poorly located), an 18th century road, and a clearance cairn |
