Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 16 hectares of grassland. The survey has not identified any anomalies of probable archaeological origin, likely due to the London Clay geology not being conducive to magnetic survey. A small number of possible archaeological anomalies have been identified, however these could equally be modern agricultural or natural anomalies. Evidence of a recent agricultural past can be seen in the presence of a former field boundary and ploughing. The remaining anomalies are of natural or modern origin, relating to an underground service, land drains, ferrous objects and fencing. |
