Abstract:		 This includes a scheme of archaeological building recording pertaining to a Foundry at Phoenix Place. The aim of this programme of recording is to provide a long-term sustainable record of remaining sections of historic foundry building within the Site prior to its redevelopment. This will secure the proper recording of buildings prior to their demolition. The aim is also to enhance, through site analysis and research, knowledge of the foundry which was once located here. The scheme of building recording aims: Provide a history of the buildings and the foundry which was once located here; Where information permits, the identification of chronological building phases and uses; and A Level 2 record of the structures identified.
