Abstract: |
An archaeological trial trench was excavated on a site adjacent to the medieval marketplace. A range of medieval features were exposed including a ditch, a pit and a post-hole, along with two undated post-holes. A wide range of medieval pottery was recovered from the overlying cultivation zone. The evidence suggests that the proposed development will impact on some archaeological deposits. |
