Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in April 2016 at Oldwalls, Holloway, Malmesbury, Wiltshire. A total of three trenches was excavated. Evidence of modern truncation and subsequent ground makeup/ levelling, possibly relating to the construction of a nearby 19thcentury railway tunnel or, more likely, the construction of the existing domestic property was identified in all of the excavated trenches. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were identified during the course of the evaluation. |
