Abstract: |
This report was commissioned by AC Archaeology Ltd on behalf of clients. It has been prepared as part of a programme of work in support of a forthcoming planning application for a residential development at the above site. The magnetic contrast across the area was sufficient to be able to differentiate between anomalies representing possible archaeological features and background magnetic responses. The magnetic contrast across the area was sufficient to be able to differentiate between anomalies representing possible archaeological features and background magnetic responses. Sixteen magnetic anomaly groups were identified as relating to possible archaeological deposits or features. The majority are most likely to relate to field boundaries and other enclosures. Anomaly groups recorded on the eastern side of the application area imply that deposits associated with settlement may be present. |
