Abstract: |
The archaeological evaluation on the proposed development site located an intensive concentration of good-quality worked flint of prehistoric date mainly from the Neolithic period. There was less evidence of the Mesolithic and Bronze Age to the medieval period. A possible ditch and a post-hole was located but there was little evidence to support the idea that medieval settlement or saltworking extended into the vicinity of the site. [Au(abr)] |
