Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation confirmed the presence of subsurface archaeology on the site dating from the 12th or 13th centuries to the 20th century. Medieval evidence was found in one trench beneath a cellar suggesting that there had been ground raising. Late 18th century activity included the wide spread construction of cellars across much of the site. The presence of a burial confirmed the location of a disused cemetery. Redevelopment of the area would have had an impact upon the archaeology of the site. [Au(adp)]
