Abstract:		 Desk-based assessment identified that the proposed development site probably was situated outside the medieval settlement. In the post-medieval period the land remained open being under arable cultivation in the 19th century and used as allotments in the 20th century. A Roman coin hoard had previously been found adjacent to the site although the exact location unknown. [AIP]
