Abstract:		 A watching brief during the excavation of geotechnical trial pits on and situated within the medieval core of Boston and centred on the site of the Dominican Friary founded in 1238 revealed a series of medieval deposits sealing alluvial layers. Two possible pits of medieval date and 14th century pottery were recorded. Recent building demolition deposits were also encountered. [AIP]
