Abstract:		 A watching brief during groundworks for the construction of a bungalow revealed recent soil and rubble make-up with buried disturbed soil beneath. This layer contained a small quantity of medieval pottery of c.10th to 14th century date, animal bones and a single Middle Saxon sherd from the 7th century AD.
