Abstract: |
The evaluation involved the excavation of two trenches. Trench 1 contained a deposits of London Clay, sealed by post-medieval and modern topsoil. Trench 2 contained natural London Clay, truncated by a ditch. It was thought the ditch represented the northern pale (boundary) of a medieval deer park. It was backfilled in the 20th century.
